NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was injured during a robbery Monday night at a Midtown gas station.
Police told News 2 the initial call went out as the clerk being shot at the Daily’s gas station in the 2100 block of Charlotte Avenue around 9:45 p.m., but she was not.
Three black male suspects reportedly entered the store and took personal property from a few customers. One suspect walked behind the counter and fired a shot at a light fixture in the ceiling, causing glass to fall down on the clerk and injuring her leg.
The suspect tried to get her to open the safe, but she told them she didn’t know how, police said. At that point all three suspects reportedly ran away from the store and a K9 was called in to track them, but was unsuccessful.
Police said the clerk was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment and has since been released. The gas station was still closed at 5 a.m.
The first suspect was described as wearing dark pants, a blue jacket and a red Chicago Bulls hat. The second suspect was reportedly wearing light blue jeans, white shoes, a white hat and had a light blue bandana over his face. The last suspect had on a black jacket and long sleeve black shirt with a white t-shirt over his head and face, police said.
