Officers arrest wanted man they recognize while arresting his brother

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man with felony warrants in Georgia and Tennessee was taken into custody Friday in east Nashville after officers recognized him while arresting his brother.

Police reported Tyrell Flenoy, 20, attempted to hide in a store in the 800 block of Main Street while officers were taking his brother into custody on outstanding warrants.

According to an affidavit, Flenoy tried to run from the officers once he was recognized.

He was wanted out of both Georgia on multiple felonies and Nashville for a felony probation violation stemming from a previous attempted robbery conviction.

He and Desiree Hester were also both wanted by the TBI and Chattanooga Police Department on charges of aggravated assault and carjacking in March.

Hester was caught just hours after being added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s “Top Ten Most Wanted” list.

Flenoy was booked into the Metro jail and charged with resisting arrest and probation violation. His bond was set at $100,000.
