Pride festival gets underway Saturday with same-sex wedding

The first same-sex couple that was granted a marriage license in Williamson County, Toby Sturgill and Al Gregory, were married Saturday morning.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The first same-sex couple granted a marriage license in Williamson County got married Saturday morning, helping to kick off the Pride festival’s weekend festivities.

Williamson County couple Toby Sturgill and Al Gregory had been waiting a long time for this moment.

The couple was engaged for more than a year and happy to be married in their home state of Tennessee.
