NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Streets in Nashville’s Gulch neighborhood were closed to traffic Saturday for the first Open Streets Nashville event that drew out walkers and cyclists.

“Today’s event celebrated using all kinds of ways to move around – walking, bicycles, mass transit – and inspiring people to stop relying solely on their cars,” Mayor Dean said.

The event included a wide range of activities like fitness classes, bike rentals, and specials from local businesses.
