Suspect found dead hours after robbery in Mt. Juliet

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the apparent shooting death of a 33-year-old Lakeview Drive man.

Deputies responded to 62 Lakeview Dr. in Mt. Juliet at approximately 11 p.m. June 27.

When they arrived, deputies discovered Kristopher Lee Green dead inside the home from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

A small caliber handgun was recovered from the scene.

The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

During the death investigation, there were indications found at the scene that the deceased man was a possible suspect in an armed robbery that had occurred prior to the shooting at the corner market located at the corner of Benders Ferry Road and Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet.

Wilson County Sheriff’s Office contacted Mt. Juliet Police Department. Investigators from Mt. Juliet are currently investigating the armed robbery, the deceased man and any possible connection between the two.

The investigation is ongoing, pending results of the autopsy.
