Heat advisory issued for parts of Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A heat advisory will go into effect for parts of Middle Tennessee, including the Nashville-area, at noon Thursday.

The advisory, which includes Davidson, Rutherford, Williamson and Wilson counties, among others, will remain in effect until 7 p.m. For all weather alerts, visit wkrn.com/weather.

Temperatures Thursday will soar to the mid-to-upper 90s.

The heat index, according to the National Weather Service, will be between 105 to 109 degrees.

Those who will be outside in the heat are urged to take precautions and should drink plenty of water, wear light colored clothing.
