WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Children’s orchestra Music City Strings is about to embark on a multi-country European tour.
Music City Strings is a program based in Franklin that consists of 45 students who range in age from 4 to 18 years old.
Founded in 2005 by international concert violinist and violist Dana Meyer, Music City Strings is a program that works to provide children the means to become confident, sensitive and beautiful artists.
The kids will perform 12 concerts in four countries; Spain, France, England and Scotland over 17 days beginning July 15.
The studio is one of only two studios chosen from the entire United States to participate on the tour.
The kids practice twice a week and work with a choreographer to perfect their performances.
