NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was arrested Monday night at The Mall at Green Hills after reportedly stealing from a store three different times and making a business operation out of it.
According to an affidavit, an employee with Dillard’s asset protection noticed Carolyn Nicholson leave the store without paying for merchandise.
She had two Michael Kors purses and wallets from the sales floor, worth just more than $1,000, when the store employee stopped her, the report stated.
Video recordings reportedly showed Carolyn, 27, also taking items from the store on June 8 and 10 as well.
During the first incident, she used a baby carrier, and according to the report, she put items inside it, covered it with a blanket and then put a purse over her shoulder before walking out.
The affidavit stated that Nicholson admitted to all three thefts and that she sold the merchandise on the street, where she would make at least half of what the items were worth.
The store was able to recover the merchandise from Monday night, but was unable to recoup the $1,235 worth of items she reportedly took during the first two thefts.
Nicholson has nine previous convictions for theft in Davidson County and was on probation when she was arrested Monday night.
She was charged with three counts of theft and her bond was set at $45,000.
