NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that interim president Steve Underwood will continue in the role through the 2015 season.
“I am excited and honored to continue my stay here in Nashville. I have a great deal of respect for this organization and our ownership group, and I look forward to the challenges on the horizon,” Underwood said.
He continued, “I will do all that I can to put this franchise in a position to have success both on and off the field this season while hopefully positioning our organization for long-term success.”
Underwood was named the team’s interim president in March after CEO Tommy Smith stepped down from the position.
Underwood has been with the franchise for 35 years.
From 2006 until his retirement in 2011, Underwood previously oversaw the team’s day-to-day operations.
