NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WRKN) – A man was injured after a shooting at an east Nashville halfway house Thursday night.
It happened at a residence on Riverside Drive near Greenwood Avenue around 10 p.m.
Police told News 2 a man walked into the halfway house looking for his ex-girlfriend.
He then reportedly entered a male resident’s bedroom and demanded to know where she was, allegedly lunging at the man.
According to police, the resident retrieved a gun from underneath his pillow and fired at least one shot, striking the intruder.
The man fled from the residence and went to a nearby bar for help.
He was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
His identity was not immediately released.
Police are investigating and charges have yet to be filed.
