Carson Fulmer to start in College World Series opener

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – As expected, Tim Corbin is sticking with his pitching rotation in Omaha.

The Vanderbilt head coach announced Friday that Carson Fulmer will start in the World Series Opener against Cal State Fullerton.

Fulmer has posted a 13-2 record this season and was drafted No. 8 overall by the Chicago White Sox in last week’s MLB Draft.

Cal State Fullerton is also sending its Ace to the mound for the opener.

Thomas Eshelman is 8-5 this season and leads the nation is strikeouts-to-walks ratio.

The Commodores and Titans play Sunday at 7 p.m CT.
