Park spokeswoman Dana Soehn told media that rangers believe the body is that of 62-year-old Jenny Bennett of Sylva, North Carolina, based on clothing and the location where it was found, but an identity has not been confirmed.

Bennett was reported missing on Saturday. Rangers did not have details on a cause of death.

Meanwhile, Soehn said another search is underway near Clingman’s Dome, where a mother and her 16-year-old son were reported missing after not returning from a hike on Sunday evening.

The searches come two days after a teenager was attacked by a bear in the Hazel Creek section of the park.
