WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Mt. Juliet city commission has postponed the plan for a 1,000,000 square-foot warehouse, indefinitely.
The commission met Monday night at the city office on North Mt. Juliet Road and decided to defer the second reading of the proposal, again.
A first reading of the proposal was approved on May 11, but the second reading was postponed on June 8 and rescheduled for June 22.
Some residents in the area spent months fighting the plan for the new warehouse, which would have been located off Beckwith Road, near the Hunting Hills Drive area.
The 55 acres of land is currently zoned as residential, but some city leaders want to annex the land and rezone it to allow for the construction.
