28-year-old arrested after man shot at Clarksville nightclub

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 28-year-old man was arrested after another was shot early Sunday morning at a Clarksville nightclub.

It happened at La Mansion Hall Club on Fort Campbell Boulevard around 4 a.m.

When police arrived, a Hispanic man, whose identity wasn’t immediately known, was found shot in the chest and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was last listed in critical condition.

Police said he was shot inside the club, and there were still about two dozen people there at the time.

Investigators were on the scene for several hours and worked several leads, ultimately arrested a 28-year-old man around 10:30 a.m.

Wilfredo Torres was arrested at a Darlene Drive residence and charged with aggravated assault.

Torres is being held on a $175,000 bond.

Police said a motive for the crime won’t be released at this time.
