MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nashville firefighter Jeremy Sanders was arrested early Saturday morning for public intoxication.
Murfreesboro police were on patrol just after midnight Saturday when they spotted a man, later identified as Sanders, in a physical altercation at the corner of Front and West Main streets.
Officers reported he had bloodshot eyes and “an odor of an intoxicant emitting from his person.”
They then learned Sanders reportedly got into a verbal altercation with his wife when he began punching her vehicle, cracking the passenger window.
A third person who witnessed or was present when the fight took place and grabbed Sanders, pulling him to the ground, to prevent any more damage.
The witness did not wish to press charges even though Sanders allegedly punched out a tooth filling.
According to a police report, Sanders was uncooperative and caused a disturbance during his arrest.
He was booked into Rutherford County jail and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
