BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – A local hair care product company has been named a top five finalist for the inaugural Beauty Pitch, a competition held by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) this summer.
The finalists will pitch their products to investors and industry experts like Mark Cuban and John Paul DeJoria.
Zenagen, based in Brentwood and run by Battle Ground Academy graduates, made the finals.
Jared Reynolds was in medical school when he started losing his hair.
After looking around at existing products, he created his own.
“I was surprised, from a science perspective, on the lack of quality products, in my opinion,” said Reynolds. “So I started to research and ended up developing what is now in the Zenagen line for hair loss.”
Now Zenagen is sold in salons all over the world, including right here in Tennessee.
The Beauty Pitch will take place in Las Vegas in July.
The winner will receive a one-year mentorship from Mark Cuban and possible investments for the company.
