Report says Nashville 33rd ‘most stressed’ city in U.S.

Downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nashville was ranked as the country’s 33rd most stressed city.

CNNMoney ranked cities based on commute times, hours worked, crime, unemployment, poverty and more.

When it comes to Music City, the website notes that despite our 1.6 million residents, our “zen factor” is that there are plenty of jobs.

The stress factor? Unhealthy lifestyles.

Another Tennessee city made the list. Memphis was ranked the 10th most stressed city, noting high crime as the stress factor “with a murder rate that trails only Detroit and New Orleans.”

New York came in at No. 1 while Salt Lake City ranked last at No. 55. Click here to see the full list.
