DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities said the body recovered from Center Hill Lake Monday morning has been identified as a 31-year-old Smithville man.
Sheriff Patrick Ray confirmed to News 2 the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency found the body, now identified as Justin Roper, near the Holiday Haven area.
Agents began searching Saturday after a woman reported her husband missing at Holiday Haven boat ramp.
According to a police report, the woman said Roper walked toward the ramp to go swimming and never returned.
The case remains under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.
