Man accused of offering to repair stranger’s car he had disabled

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested for vandalism Thursday after he offered to repair a man’s car when he was caught on camera disabling it in south Nashville.

Police reported Abdul Alshimary, 44, was seen on surveillance footage in the Walmart on Hamilton Church Road parking lot underneath the victim’s car while he was inside shopping.

According to an affidavit, when the victim returned to his car, Alshimary reportedly approached him and offered to repair his vehicle for $80.

Alshimary was booked into the Metro jail and charged with vandalism. His bond was set at $25,000.
