NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) A Nashville man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into the Office Depot on West End Avenue Friday morning.
It happened at the store located at 2312 West End Ave. around 2 a.m.
Police told News 2 the suspect, identified as Jody Timmons, 53, broke a window of the store and climbed inside the building where he grabbed merchandise, including cleaning supplies, which are sometimes abused as inhalants.
A Vanderbilt Police officer reportedly saw Timmons inside the store and approached the suspect, who fled the scene towards the back of the building.
Police were able to arrest Timmons without incident on nearby Elliston Place.
Timmonms was cut at some point during the burglary, presumably while climbing through the broken glass window, and a Hazmat team was called to the scene to clean up blood.
The store planned to reopen after the blood was cleaned and the window boarded up.
Timmons was booked into the Metro jail and charged with felony burglary and tampering with evidence. His bond was set at $35,000.
