Handcuffed man flees from Davidson County deputies

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Davidson County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a handcuffed man who fled from deputies Thursday.

Authorities went to a home on Brentwood Place to serve an eviction notice around 11:45 a.m. According to officials, Reginald Newman, who was not named in the eviction, answered the door.

When Newman became fidgety, he was asked to remove items from his pocket. A small amount of marijuana was recovered and Newman was placed in handcuffs.

As authorities searched the home, Newman fled the scene and ran into a nearby tree line.

He remains at large.
