NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream announced Thursday afternoon they will reopen all of their shops next week.
They will resume business at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 22.
The popular Ohio-based company voluntarily closed all of their shops and recalled their products April 23 due to the possible presence of listeria.
Their fears were confirmed when they announced that the bacteria was found on a spout of their production machine.
In a release, Jeni’s said they are excited to be making ice cream again.
“It’s been a bumpy road getting back up and there were times we didn’t think we were going to make it. As a result, we have a new appreciation for life,” it stated.
Jeni’s has three locations in Nashville. One in east Nashville at 1892 Eastland Avenue, in 12South at 2312 12th Avenue South, and at the Nashville Farmer’s Market at 900 Rosa Parks Boulevard.
