NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two men were charged with child endangerment after leaving a 4-year-old girl in a moving car while fleeing from police during a traffic stop Tuesday night.
Officers attempted to pull over Larry Wade, 24, in Davidson County.
According to an affidavit, Wade and the child’s father, William Tibbs, 22, jumped from the vehicle before putting the car in park.
Tibbs’ 4-year-old daughter was left inside the moving vehicle, which crashed into another car.
Police reported the child was not in a booster seat or restrained in any way.
Wade and Tibbs were booked into the Metro jail and charged with child endangerment and evading arrest.
Wade faces additional charges of driving on a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident. His bond was set at $33,000.
Tibbs’ bond was set at $18,000.
