NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A convicted felon currently in jail in Dickson County has been charged in a 2011 murder that took place in a Nashville nightclub.
Zantaun Horton, 24, is accused of killing Brian Amos, 22, inside Bentley’s House of Soul on George L. David Boulevard on October 9, 2011.
Metro police said a recent investigation by cold case Detective Danny Satterfield led to identifying Horton as the suspected gunman.
At the time of his death, police said Amos was involved in a fight inside a bathroom at the club that led to a shooting inside the main area.
Amos was shot in his abdomen and died shortly after arriving at a hospital.
There was a large crowd inside the club at the time.
Metro authorities said charges against other people are pending.
Horton has been charged with criminal homicide. He’s currently in jail on prior felony cocaine convictions.
