Police searching for 2 men for questioning regarding robbery near TSU

TSU robbery questioning

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are searching for two men they believe know the suspects who robbed three Tennessee State University students outside a north Nashville gas station in April.

It happened at a closed Citgo, located at 2811 John A Merritt Blvd, on April 29.

The three students walked to the BP market at 2801 John A. Merritt Blvd. around 2:30 a.m. and noticed a gray Hyundai sedan with a handicapped tag hanging from the rearview mirror in front of the business.

The car was occupied by three men and one woman.

The BP was closed, so the victims started walking back to TSU when the gray vehicle pulled up beside them, according to police.

One of the men got out with a gun, fired one shot and pistol whipped one of the victims.

An iPhone, a Chicago Bulls jacket and a gray 2014 Trezevant High School jacket were stolen in the robbery.

Two men, who were seen on surveillance video inside the store, may know the identity of the persons involved.

Anyone who recognizes the men is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
