WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Florida woman was arrested and charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution Wednesday afternoon.
Franklin police said they acted on a tip about activity at a hotel located at 680 Bakers Bridge Avenue.
Officers conducted surveillance Wednesday afternoon and said it didn’t take long for them to observe traffic in and out of the hotel consistent with prostitution.
As a result, Victoria Varela, of Ft. Lauderdale, was taken into custody on prostitution charges and impersonating a licensed professional.
She was released on $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in a Williamson County court May 21.
Police said a Hermitage man was issued a misdemeanor citation for patronizing prostitution and later released.
Two women were arrested at the same hotel for prostitution on May 1.
