NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Three Nashville-area moms decided they wanted to help bring some positivity to the world with their apparel and goods.
Marisa Costanza, Jessie Rosenblum and Lizzie Stuhlreyer started Bee Attitudes three years ago, after Marisa went shopping with her teenage daughter.
While shopping, the mother noticed the lack of positive sayings on clothing.
The women’s clothing company, Bee Attitudes, took off with the “if you can change your attitude, you can change the world” idea.
The women have centered their motivation around an illustration of a bee.
Lizzie said she feels their message is “simple, but powerful.”
Be fearless. Be grateful. Just be. Those are just some of the illustrations shoppers will find on T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, tank tops, trucker hats, magnets and even chapstick.
The Bee Attitudes line caters to women, and Jessie feels that something as simple as clothing, can make a difference.
“Having a positive attitude does make a difference in the world, and we are a business that is not just saying that, we are a business that is actually doing that,” she said.
Bee Attitudes employs those from the Magdalene House, a residential program for women who have survived lives of prostitution, trafficking, addiction and life on the streets.
Amazing women like Lolita Hoard, who is grateful for the chance to be a part of this positive business.
“A lot of the women that in the Magdalene program that work at Thistle Farms, they needed a chance. This program right here, this company, they give women like myself, a second chance. They’re believing in us. They’re letting us know, ok, you do have worth,” she said.
Lolita and the owners of Bee Attitudes are hoping to see their company grow to the point where they can offer permanent emplyment for these women.
Jessie believes they’re not just a T-shirt company. “We’re a lifestyle brand with a mission behind it,” she said.
Bee Attitudes’ products are available nationwide in 85 stores around the country and in a few stores across Canada. Click here to visit their website.
