NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was indicted for the murder of a transwoman in Nashville.
Mallory Porter, 18, now faces first degree murder charges for the death of Gilbert “Gizzy” Fowler.
The 24-year-old was found shot to death on the morning of Nov. 12 lying beside her Buick Lacrosse in the driveway of an unoccupied home in the 3900 block of Lunn Drive in the Bordeaux area north of Nashville.
According to authorities, they linked Porter to the crime through phone records and DNA evidence.
There were text messages and three phone calls between Fowler and Porter from 4:39 to 4:53 a.m. the morning of the crime.
Fowler was found with a gunshot wound to the head a short time later.
