NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Thunderstorms and showers are pushing through the Middle Tennessee area throughout Thursday morning.
Heavy rainfall fell during parts of the morning commute.
Small hail could accompany heavy rainfall in the Nashville area with temperatures increasing to around 70 degrees by Noon.
Flooding remains a concern as the National Weather Service issued a Flood Advisory for Richland Creek in Belle Meade Wednesday night.
As of 7 p.m., Richland Creek was measured at 6.7 feet and rising while flood stage is determined when the creek rises to 7 feet.
At 5 feet, low-lying areas near Belle Meade County Club, residential areas near Percy Warner Boulevard and along the creek from Harding Place to Belle Meade Boulevard begin to be inundated.
The chance for more showers and storms will continue from Friday through Sunday. There will be some sunshine and dry periods too. Highs each day in the mid to upper 70’s. Lows at night generally within a few degrees of 60.
