NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The state of Tennessee was prominently represented at this year’s WNBA draft with four women being selected to the pro league.
Former Middle Tennessee State University star Cheyenne Parker was the fifth overall selection to the Chicago Sky. Parker averaged a double-double in just 22 games at MTSU before she was suspended for the remainder of the 2014-2015 season.
Three Lady Vols were also taken in this year’s draft. Isabelle Harrison went 12th overall as the final pick of the first round to the Phoenix Mercury.
Cierra Burdick was taken 14th overall with the second pick of the second round by the Los Angeles Sparks and Ariel Massengale went 29th overall in the third round to the Atlanta Dream.
