RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Rutherford County home was severely damaged late Sunday night in a fire.
According to emergency crews on scene, a man, his wife and at least one child were asleep in the home on Rocky Fork Road when the blaze started just before midnight.
When the family went outside, the garage, which is attached to the home by a breezeway, was on fire.
No one was injured, but the home reportedly had substantial damage and five vehicles are considered a complete loss.
One car was parked in the garage while the other four were out in front of the house, which is across from Giles Creek Baptist Church.
It’s unclear what started the fire, but the fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate.
