Man fires shot into ground during Nashville home invasion

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man is on the run after he reportedly fired one shot into the floor of a Nashville residence during a home invasion.

It happened in the 3300 block of Chesapeake Drive on the north side of the city.

Metro police spokeswoman Kris Mumford told News 2 the suspect went to the door and asked for the husband.

He took money from the wife’s wallet and fired one shot into the floor of the home before fleeing in a silver car.

No one was injured. Further details were not immediately known.
