I-40 West reopens after crash in Dickson County

DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The driver of a car was injured late Thursday afternoon after he struck a semi on Interstate 40 West.

It happened near mile marker 180 in Dickson County around 3:50 p.m.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 23-year-old Jason Green was in the left lane when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit the tractor trailer.

The tractor trailer was forced off the right side of the road while Green’s car spun into the median and came to an uncontrolled stop.

Green was transported by ambulance to TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson with unknown injuries.

The THP said he will be cited with failure to exercise due care and given financial responsibility for the crash.
