A Basement in the Alley, or A.B.I.T.A. was founded by the Francois Family, co-founder of the city’s well-known Cup Cake Collection.

The space features 8,000 square feet of space that can accommodate up to 250 people with New Orleans-style cuisine.

A.B.I.T.A.’s grand opening was held Easter Sunday with a gospel brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 a.m.

“This area provides what meeting planners are looking for: an open layout venue for organizations networking events, a perfect retreat location for leadership teams to escape, and to rejuvenate convention attendees during meeting breaks,” said Alvin Francois. “And of course it’s the perfect setting for weddings and receptions.”

The new event space is located at 2543R Lebanon Pike. Visit AbitaEvents.com for more information.
