FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two objects that were thought to be possible grenades at two separate locations in Franklin both turned out to be toys.

The first discovery was made by a customer at the Cameron Spray and Shine at Columbia and Carr avenues Friday afternoon.

The bomb squad, alongside the police department and other agencies, all responded to the scene.

Authorities blocked off a 50-foot perimeter as a precaution while crews investigated.

Shortly after the scene cleared, police were called to Poplar Grove Elementary regarding a similar situation.

That possible grenade was also determined to be a toy. Police do not believe the incidents were related.
