Police search for 2 teens who escaped juvenile detention center

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Franklin police are searching for two teens who escaped the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center Thursday night.

Authorities said William Malone III and Lavarious McClain, both 17, physically assaulted two juvenile officers at 10:30 p.m. They then locked them in a cell before fleeing the facility on foot.

Malone was being held on robbery, theft and aggravated burglary charges. McClain was charged with minor juvenile offenses.

Both are now wanted for two counts assault, two counts of false imprisonment and escape.

Sgt. Charlie Warner with the Franklin Police Department told News 2 the two teens are considered “very dangerous.”

Malone and McClain have connections to the Franklin and Spring Hill areas. Anyone who sees or have information on the teens should call 911.
