NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested Monday night after reportedly trying to break into an Antioch apartment in February while the resident was inside.
According to an affidavit, the victim was inside the home on Blue Lake Circle watching TV when Arnaldo Roche-Garcia tried to get inside on Feb. 20.
The victim told police she saw Garcia, 24, walking around outside of the apartment, heard him knock on both doors and saw him look inside through the glass patio door.
Garcia reportedly never saw the victim sitting inside and when she didn’t respond to his knocks he used a screw driver to pry open the patio door.
At that point, the victim opened the door and confronted Garcia, asking him what he was doing.
Garcia ran to a newer-model black Chevrolet Impala driven by an unknown woman, got inside and left the scene.
The report stated that pry marks were visible on the door. The victim and Garcia were acquaintances and she was able to identify him to police.
Garcia has a history of burglary, according to an affidavit.
He was charged with aggravated burglary and his bond was set at $50,000.
