NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A pickup truck was traveling the wrong-way down Jefferson Street Friday morning when it collided head-on with a concrete truck.
It happened on Jefferson Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues around 2:30 a.m.
The driver of the pickup truck was pinned in by his foot and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the collision.
The driver of the concrete truck was uninjured and aided in the cleanup of the accident. Wet concrete spilled from the truck onto the roadway.
Jefferson Street was temporarily closed during the cleaning process and has since reopened.
No word on if any charges will be filed against the pickup truck driver.
