NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Madison family got a horrible wakeup call Tuesday morning when a car hit their house.
It happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Pierce Road.
The home owner told News 2 that he was sitting in a chair by the window when he heard a loud bang.
A car had left the road, hitting their deck and pushing up into the home.
According to police on scene, the driver fled, but there were two other people in the car, the vehicle’s owner and a passenger.
The owner reportedly attempted to move his car after the crash, but appeared intoxicated.
He was given a field sobriety test before being taken into custody.
The passenger was also arrested and authorities said they found possible narcotics in the car.
No one in the home was hurt, but the family’s deck is a complete loss and there was damage to the home.
Officers are still trying to locate the driver of the vehicle.
