WAYNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The suspect at the center of a massive manhunt Saturday in Wayne County was finally apprehended.
The man, whose name has not been released, was a fugitive out of Mississippi, according to Wayne County’s E911 Facebook page.
He was sighted near Folgers Drive Sunday morning, prompting a manhunt led by both Wayne and Perry county authorities along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Officials used patrol cars, K9s and helicopters in their search.
Details of the man’s arrest or where he was located were not immediately released.
Waynesboro is located off Lawrenceburg Highway about 100 miles southwest of Nashville.
