Stepdad charged with picking up pot package for stepson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested after allegedly retrieving a package of 6 pounds marijuana for his stepson from a north Nashville porch Wednesday.

Police reported Kerry Woods, 48, drove to a home located in the 600 block of 39th Avenue North and picked up a package from the porch.

According to an affidavit, Woods put the package of marijuana in his car and drove away.

When police stopped Woods and questioned him about the marijuana, he reportedly told officers he was asked to pick up the package for his stepson.

Woods was booked in the Metro jail on drug possession charges. His bond was set at $30,000.
