MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Rutherford County woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say she left her three children in the car while she shopped at Walmart.
Police responded to the retailer on Old Fort Parkway after one of the children got out of the car and began walking through the parking lot.
Surveillance video revealed the child was nearly struck by a car before going inside the store.
Upon returning to her car, Cristle Spicer realized one of the children was missing.
Spicer was taken into custody and is charged with reckless endangerment, among other charges.
She is jailed on a $6,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 12.
The children, all under the age of 7, remain in the care of their grandmother.
