GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn (WKRN) – A woman was arrested and charged with her eighth DUI Sunday morning in Goodlettsville.
According to an affidavit, an officer saw Marsha Gilliam not wearing a seatbelt while driving on South Dickerson Road near Dry Creek Road around 8:30 a.m.
After turning on his emergency lights, Gilliam, 57, reportedly kept driving until she reached Robert Cartwright Drive where she stopped at the intersection blocking lanes on both streets.
The officer noticed the smell of alcohol and said he had to keep reminding Gilliam to look for her driver’s license because she kept forgetting, the report stated.
Gilliam failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.
Her charges for DUI stem from incidents that happened between 1992 and 2015.
She pled guilty to a lesser charge of reckless driving or public intoxication on three of her DUI charges, and pled guilty to her fourth DUI in 2010.
For this latest incident she was also charged with driving on a revoked license and violation of the implied consent law.
Her bond was set at $30,000.
