NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Vanderbilt’s Riley LaChance is the SEC Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season.
The freshman guard averaged 17 points, 4.5 assists and three rebounds in wins against Mississippi State and at Ole Miss.
LaChance leads all SEC freshman in scoring. He shot 52.2 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from three point range over the week.
He also tied a career-high with five 3’s while dishing out a career-high eight assists against the Rebels on Saturday.
LaChance sets a new record for the most SEC Freshman of the Week honors by a Vanderbilt player.
The Commodores take on Tennessee Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament at 6 p.m. at the Bridgestone Arena.
