MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) – Blackman outlasted rival Oakland in two overtimes to win its second straight Class AAA girls basketball state championship 58-54 in the first all-Murfreesboro girls final in state history.

Blackman junior Jazz Bond scored an uncontested layup off a laser pass from teammate KK Williams to break a 54-54 tie game with 58 seconds left Sunday.

Angel Allen, a Western Carolina signee, put the game away with two free throws with 12. 9 seconds left.

Connecticut commitment Crystal Dangerfield led the Lady Blaze (32-2) with 18 points. Dangerfield was also named the tournament’s MVP.

Teammate Alex Johnson added 10 points. Shelby Gibson led Oakland (28-8) with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Abby Wright, who put the game in overtime with two free throws with four seconds left in regulation, added 13 points.

Oakland was making its first state championship appearance in 14 years.

Dangerfield was named the Class AAA Miss Basketball afterward.
