29-year-old man killed while walking across I-65 in Brentwood

I-65 closed at Concord Road (March 6, 2015)

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 29-year-old man was killed while walking across Interstate 65 South in Brentwood Friday night.

Garrett Miller died while crossing from the shoulder to the median near mile marker 69 just before 8 p.m.

Police said he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban before a 1999 Ford Econoline van behind it struck him again and dragged him for a short distance.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, no drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash and no charges have been filed.

The southbound lanes of I-65 between Concord Road and Moores Lane were closed for hours but reopened at Midnight.
