WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 35-year-old woman is dead after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 109 in Wilson County.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Bending Chestnut Drive.
Authorities said the accident occurred after a Saturn VUE hydroplaned and traveled into the southbound lane.
A second vehicle involved in the crash, a Chrysler, struck Angela Gray’s Nissan Altima before her car went down a steep embankment off the highway.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Gray was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the deadly crash.
The roadway was shut down for several hours as crews investigated the accident.
