SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person was killed and two others injured in a head-on collision in Smyrna Tuesday night.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. on Nissan Boulevard at Sam Davis Road.
Officials said a maroon 2006 Saturn Ion crossed into oncoming lanes of traffic, colliding head-on with a silver 1999 Nissan Pathfinder.
The driver of the Saturn, Joshua Soper, 34, of Smyrna, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. The passenger was taken to Stonecrest Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Both lanes of Nissan Boulevard were closed while police investigated the crash.
