JACKSON, Tenn. (WKRN) – A former Chester County jailer is accused of filing a false report about a violent threat against him regarding Zach Adams, one of the men accused in the Holly Bobo case.
Tommy Austin filed a report on Jan. 11 stating he received a phone call threatening violence against him and his son for “not taking care” of Adams, who was previously in custody in Chester County.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating Austin’s claim on Jan. 14.
During the course of their investigation, it was determined the threat was untrue.
Austin, 47, is charged with filing a false report. He surrendered himself to authorities Monday morning.
A bond amount was not immediately released.
