ATHENS, Ga. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Volunteers suffered their second straight loss, falling 56-53 to the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens Saturday afternoon.
J.J Fraizer scored 10 points in the final 11 minutes for Georgia to help overcome turnover issues and seal the win for the Bulldogs. Georgia matched a season high mark with 20 turnovers but was still able to snap a two-game losing streak.
Kevin Punter cut their Georgia lead to three points, sinking a free throw with seven seconds left in the game. The Volunteers rebounded his missed second free throw but missed a potential game-tying three-pointer from Josh Richardson as time expired.
Armani Moore led the Vols with 16 points while Robert Hubbs added 15. Punter finished with 10 points.
The Volunteers return to the court on Wednesday at Vanderbilt University.
